True Beauty Season 2 Heads to Crunchyroll After Record-Breaking Success
Crunchyroll will stream the second season of “True Beauty,” expanding the popular Korean webtoon adaptation to its massive audience of 120 million subscribers worldwide. The announcement comes from Studio N, NAVER Webtoon’s animation production house.
The series has already proven its global appeal. The original webtoon, which concluded its run on NAVER Webtoon in 2023, reached an impressive milestone of 6.4 billion views. Its story resonates with audiences through the journey of Im Ju-kyung, whose life changes as she discovers makeup and builds self-confidence.
Season 1’s success on Crunchyroll paved the way for this new chapter. “We’ve seen strong demand for webtoon-based content in Western markets,” says Studio N CEO Kwon Mi-kyung. “Our team is focusing on delivering even higher production quality for Season 2.”
