NewJeans member HANNI has obtained a new visa, addressing concerns about her stay in South Korea amid the group’s ongoing contract dispute with ADOR. The news was announced February 12 through the members’ parent-run Instagram account ‘njz_pr’.
While the specific visa type remains undisclosed, the development comes after HANNI’s previous visa reportedly expired earlier this month. The Vietnamese-Australian idol had been part of the group’s contract termination announcement with ADOR in November 2024.
The matter gained attention at the National Assembly, where Representative Park Ji-won addressed HANNI’s visa situation during a legislative committee meeting. The Acting Minister of Justice Kim Seok-woo responded that officials are reviewing the case.
