Chicago, IL – The Windy City became the epicenter of K-pop fever as some of the genre’s biggest names descended upon Grant Park for Lollapalooza Chicago 2024, delivering show-stopping performances that left thousands of fans screaming for more.
TWICE Makes History as Festival Headliners
Global superstars TWICE made their highly anticipated debut at the prestigious music festival, taking the main stage as headliners on August 2nd. The nine-member girl group delivered an unforgettable setlist featuring their chart-topping hits “Dance The Night Away” and “What is Love?” to a sea of devoted fans.
In a special surprise moment, members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung performed “TAKEDOWN,” the original soundtrack from Netflix’s wildly popular animated film “K-pop Demon Hunters,” sending the crowd into a frenzy.

August 3rd saw boy group BOYNEXTDOOR commanding the stage for a full hour, delivering 11 high-energy tracks that had the crowd dancing non-stop. Opening with “I Feel Good,” the talented group kept the momentum going with fan favorites “Earth, Wind & Fire” and “I LOVE YOU,” showcasing their versatility and stage presence.
International Collaboration Takes Flight
HYBE’s groundbreaking Korean-American girl group KATSEYE also graced the Lollapalooza stage on August 3rd, performing a 40-minute set featuring nine songs including “Gnarly” and “Gabriela,” representing the future of cross-cultural musical collaboration.
Complete K-Pop Lineup Dominates Weekend
The Korean music invasion was rounded out by band Xdinary Heroes, who performed on July 31st, and WAVE TO EARTH, who closed out the festival’s K-pop programming on August 3rd, ensuring that Korean music was represented across all four days of the festival.
