OMEGA X’s first sub-unit explores freedom, loneliness, and new beginnings through music

OMEGA X’s first sub-unit, OX:N, has officially made their debut in Japan with the release of their first Japanese single album, SWAY. This marks the group’s third release of 2025, following their debut EP N in June and the digital single “LOVE +” in September.

With SWAY, the members of OX:N—Jaehan, Jehyun, Xen, and Yechan—continue to carve out their own musical identity, blending introspection with innovation as they expand OMEGA X’s artistic legacy.

Finding Freedom Through Music: The Message of “SWAY”

SWAY encapsulates themes of constraint, loneliness, and yearning, portraying the struggle to find one’s own path in the midst of uncertainty. The members hope their listeners and fans will connect with these emotions and find encouragement through their music.

“Our new single, ‘SWAY,’ captures the movements and efforts to find one’s own way,” said Jehyun. “Please look forward to our debut in Japan as OX:N, and I hope this single provides comfort and solace to everyone!”

Title Track “SWIRKY”: A Dance-Pop Escape

The title track, “SWIRKY,” is a vibrant dance-pop number that brings a sense of freedom and exhilaration. Both Jaehanand Yechan contributed to the song’s composition and lyrics, showcasing OX:N’s creative involvement and authenticity.

“It is always exciting to release a new album in Japan!” said Jaehan. “Since we participated in both writing and composing, our messages will be conveyed more clearly. SWAY really shows the diverse colors of OX:N.”

Yechan added, “I remember sharing a lot of laughter while working on ‘SWIRKY.’ I hope our energy is delivered well when we perform it on stage.”

B-Side “SOMEBODY”: A Heartfelt Pop-Rock Confession

The album’s second track, “SOMEBODY,” written and composed by Xen, offers a more emotional contrast. The pop-rock track expresses a yearning for happiness in love after enduring isolation and self-doubt.

“While working on ‘SOMEBODY,’ I tried new musical approaches,” Xen shared. “I hope everyone will enjoy it and feel the sincerity we put into this release.”

OX:N’s Next Chapter: Connecting with Fans in Japan

To celebrate their Japanese debut, OX:N will embark on promotional activities across Japan, including fan concerts in Osaka on November 11 and Tokyo on December 13. Fans can expect powerful live performances, heartfelt moments, and a deeper connection with the group’s evolving sound.

As OX:N continues to define their own artistry, SWAY stands as a testament to their growth, creativity, and unshakable bond—with each other and with fans around the world.
