TWICE Achieves Personal Best on Billboard ‘Hot 100’ & Takes Over Lollapalooza Chicago

TWICE is heating up the global stage this summer, proving their unstoppable momentum.

Since their debut on October 20, 2015 (KST), TWICE is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. Marking the milestone, the members have rolled out a range of special content, including their 4th full-length album THIS IS FOR, a world tour of the same name, their 6th Japanese studio album ENEMY, the Netflix original soundtrack for K-Pop Demon Hunters, and a 10th-anniversary documentary film — all designed to captivate fans worldwide.

In particular, their 14th mini-album Strategy, featured in the animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, has gone viral globally, surging back up the charts and breaking TWICE’s own record for the highest Billboard ranking as a group. On the August 5 (local time) Billboard Hot 100, Strategy jumped 18 spots from the previous week to land at No. 74. Meanwhile, TAKEDOWN (JEONGYEON, JIHYO, CHAEYOUNG) secured No. 67, further boosting their chart momentum. On August 4, Spotify’s U.S. chart recorded Strategy and TAKEDOWN at 511,773 and 556,417 streams respectively, ranking at No. 48 and No. 42.

On August 2, TWICE drew explosive reactions as the headliner for Lollapalooza Chicago, held at Grant Park in Illinois — their first appearance at a global music festival and the first time a K-pop girl group headlined the event. The group delivered a powerhouse 20-song setlist, flawless performances honed through their massive world tour, and unmatched stage presence that captivated the massive crowd. Fans from around the world hailed the show as “the pride and class of K-pop.”

Adding to the excitement, members Momo, Sana, and Jihyo made a surprise appearance during headliner Sabrina Carpenter’s set on August 3. The trio appeared on the giant screen during Carpenter’s playful “Juno Arrest” performance — where she humorously “arrests” notable fans or celebrities with pink handcuffs. The TWICE members responded with charm and playful energy, sending the audience into a frenzy.
