A Fresh “Footstep” Forward
Catch The Young has unveiled a brand-new remake single, “발걸음 (FOOTSTEPS),” breathing new life into the beloved 90s Korean rock ballad originally released by Emerald Castle in 1997. Known for its aching portrayal of heartbreak paired with quiet hope for new beginnings, “발걸음 (FOOTSTEPS)” has stood the test of time as a cherished classic, covered and reinterpreted by countless artists over the years.
Honoring the Past, Embracing the Present
For this release, Catch The Young remained faithful to the emotional core and atmosphere of the original while reshaping it through a modern lens. The guitar solo was meticulously designed to echo the raw sonic textures of 90s rock, while the vocals balance the song’s original identity with contemporary emotional depth. The result is a remake that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new—distinctly Catch The Young.
“It is an honor to release a remake version of a well-loved classic in our name. Just like the song title, it will be a new ‘footstep’ for Catch The Young. With that in mind, we’ll work hard on preparing our full-length album until the day we share it with the world.”
— Namhyun, Vocalist

“It is very exciting to be able to remake a classic song with our own colors. I hope Catch The Young’s ‘발걸음 (FOOTSTEPS)’ would help you heal and resonate with all of your inner emotions.”
— Kihoon, Guitarist
