Fans Celebrate V’s Birthday with Historic Gesture

To honor BTS member V’s birthday, fans have adopted a bench engraved with his name in the Trianon Gardens at the iconic Palace of Versailles in France. The bench, officially part of Versailles’ heritage sponsorship program, will be permanently preserved, marking a first for a foreign artist in the Trianon campaign.

Global Fanbases Unite Across 13 Countries

The project was led by V’s global fanbase V Union, alongside Worldwide_KTH and taehyungtuesday, with participation from 13 countries including Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Spain, and more. Fans prepared the initiative for months to celebrate V in a meaningful, long-lasting way.

A Bench That Symbolizes Peace and Legacy

Versailles’ bench adoption program allows patrons to restore and maintain sculptures, benches, and trees in the gardens. A small plaque engraved with “KIM Taehyung” will be installed beside the stone bench as a protective measure, ensuring V’s name remains an enduring part of Versailles’ historic landscape.

Paris and Versailles: A Special Connection

Fans chose Versailles due to its personal significance to V. Paris was where he resumed public activities after his military service with a fashion show appearance. Additionally, Versailles was the filming location for the “Winter Ahead” music video released during his service, adding sentimental value to the dedication.

V’s Name Now Part of European Heritage

With this permanent tribute, V becomes the first foreign celebrity honored in the Trianon Gardens, ensuring that his legacy will be remembered not only by fans but also in one of Europe’s most iconic landmarks and UNESCO World Heritage sites.
